Can't they just fight it out with swords?
Phillies vs. Yankees.  Ugh.  Well, guess I'm rooting for the Phils, as hopeless as it may be.  I'm not one who believes in fate, but when Jeter boots a ball and it bounces off his chest directly to Cano instead of anywhere else, things don't look good.  Still, the Phils aren't pushovers.  If they can steal one of the games in Yankee Stadium, they've got a chance.  The Yankees lose Matsui's bat in Philly and also have to rely on Girardi's debatable managing skill much more.  The Philly pen isn;t too bad, as long as Lidge holds up.

the Phils took 2 of 3 from the Yankees in their stadium this year and it should have been a sweep, if not for Lidge.  Let's hope they don't fall apart like the Angels did and Girardi has to keep that 27 on his back for as long as he keeps his job.

I don't think it's hopeless
I think the Phils have a good chance. That's a very deep lineup, and they've got the swagger and confidence that they can win in the Bronx Bandbox. Cliff Lee has been an ace since he was traded. I think pitching Pedro in game 2 instead of holding him off until game 3 in Philly is a mistake, but maybe he can hang in for 6 innings while the Phils beat up AJ "Nuke LaLoosh" Burnett. I do worry about Bad Lidge trying to close a game at the Toilet though. Hey, you gotta have hope.

See, what did I tell you?
Yanks run into a true ace like Lee and they can't do a thing; meanwhile the Phils show that they're about 1000x more comfortable playing in the Bronx Bandbox than the Halos. Nice to see somebody on the opposing team hit a cheap RF bandbox hr for a change (to be fair, Utley's second dong was positively mashed).

Vote for Pedro!
